You do not need an account to use the site. An account means your meet goes up straight away instead of waiting in a queue, with your name on it. It still shows a grey dot until someone checks it against the organiser's post.

Running a meet?
Send the date, time, address, cost and who's welcome. It goes up the same day, free, with a link back to your page. No account, no fee, and we'll never ask you to post here first.
A green dot means the details were checked against the organiser's own post. A grey dot means something, usually the start time, is still unconfirmed. Check the source link before you set an alarm.
